CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE
As the Chairman of an established school that has served the community since 1974,
I feel a deep sense of responsibility. First of all is the responsibility to uphold the
ideals of our founder, Dr Durga Prasad Pandey. Our founder believed in modern education
that also incorporated the best aspects from India’s ancient traditions of learning. The
trust that the local community reposes in us is just as important. In discharging these
major responsibilities, I am fortunate to have two important sources of inspiration. Firstly,
the path that ‘Babuji’ showed us. His life, ideals and his sacrifices for the freedom of our
country all continue to guide us to this day. Secondly, the values acquired during my years
in the Army. These core values are an unfailing guide when faced with the myriad decisions
that are an integral part of administering a busy school.
Over the years, the core Manava
Bharati values have helped our students grow into citizens of the world of whom we can
justifiably be proud. However, we also have a responsibility towards the less fortunate
members of our community. This was the beginning of the idea that Manava Bharati could
make a difference by providing its educational and hostel facilities for children of
soldiers who have laid down their lives for the country. With support from the Indian
Army, this initiative has been a success.
Since it was our founder’s vision that Manava
Bharati should provide a modern education, changing with the times has to be part of our
ethos. Rapid progress in the field of education has ensured that much has changed since our
first pioneering efforts in the Panchsheel Park community. However, we continue to draw
strength from our founder’s faith in the time-tested Guru-shishya parampara. We are also
inspired by the timeless virtues of a clear aim, dedicated service and hard work towards
the larger cause of education.
Jai Hind.
